CONTACT is there for all people in the hospital who use legal or illegal addictive substances and would like counseling. CONTACT supports clients during and after their stay in hospital and acts as a mediator and liaison between the Viennese hospital system and the Viennese drug support network as well as the general welfare and health care system.

Offers:
- Fast, uncomplicated and free counseling directly in the hospital
- Information about outpatient and inpatient therapy services and opioid substitution treatment
- Referrals to outpatient clinics, social institutions and addiction counseling centers, as well as support in communicating with authorities
- Advice on the effects and dangers of alcohol and drugs as well as other health and consumption matters
- Information on HIV and hepatitis prevention and other sexually transmitted infections, as well as general tips on safer sex
- Support in changing your life situation after hospitalization
Conditions:
Outpatient or inpatient treatment in one of Vienna’s hospitals. CONTACT’s consultation is free of charge.
